Create TAD from SAD
As part of our continued enhancement of the Thyme-IT C&E Solution we have added functionality that allows you to create an export TAD (Transit Accompanying Document) directly from an existing export SAD (Single Administrative Document), eliminating the need to enter the same data into the system twice.
A TAD is required when transiting goods throughout Europe and the goods are not yet in free circulation. It can be submitted to Revenue via the Thyme-IT C&E System.
A SAD is required when importing goods from outside of Europe or exporting goods to countries outside of Europe. It can be submitted to Revenue via the Thyme-IT C&E System.
On occasion both documents might be required for the same shipment of goods. If you use both Thyme-IT’s SAD & NCTS solutions, there is no need to manually enter the same information twice.
Begin by entering the relevant details into the export SAD document. Once the SAD has been Green Routed, there is an option within the Thyme-IT system on the Summary screen to create the export TAD directly from the export SAD. Alternatively, when creating an export TAD in Thyme-IT’s NCTS application, the details can be imported directly from an existing export SAD document.
